How it works

Polyaspartic resin is an excellent amine to use in the amine component of a Carbonamine formulation, however any similarly hindered amines could be used.

Hexamethylene di-isocyanate trimers are ideal for use in aliphatic Carbonamine systems due to their low toxicity compared to HDI monomer.

Propylene carbonate is our preferred carbonate because it is a low cost commodity product and has a high CO2 content. Other alkylene carbonates such as ethylene carbonate can also be used.

It most formulations it can be included in either the amine or isocyanate component. This attribute facilitates easily producing convenient mix ratios.

A catalyst is used to cause the alkylene carbonate to react with the other components.
